I lovely person responded to the review!

Reader comment
I think this reviewer missed the point, if not the concept of this performer's show. With the blending of story and magic, he amplifies both, the magic supports and enhances the story, the story uplifts the magic. It is a double suspension of disbelief, and from the audience's oohs and ahhs and laughter and silence, he hits many a chord and heartstrings during the evening. This is innovate for either genre and worth the trip.

I get the feeling from the review, that Mr. Wachs just doesn't care that much for magic.

I don't think it was all that bad of a review. The last sentence could have been more favorable, but I do think the title of the review might generate interest. The article makes it clear it's not your run of the mill thing. As for the last sentence, well, it could have been a lot worse. Some people just don't connect with magic. Like Philemon said, the reviewer may have been one of those people.

Really, it's barely a review. He took his three inches of print space and two inches weren't a review, then he ends with "it's a'right". It's just sorta a lame review. Even a critic friend of mine had to agree.

I was more upset that it wasn't going to favor ticket sales the next two weekends and I could use the boost.
But, I hope the Best Of helps :D

I suggest adding a new piece to your show. Maybe a story about a reviewer who didn't even pay to see the show wrote up a shitty review and how terrible things befell him when he got to the parking lot. Any mentalist can implant thoughts, give them a reason to like you. You're too much of a sub, you have to toss out some dom once in a while.

finally workshopping Grandma's Lucky Rabbits Foot/The gator foot. it's not perfect or anything! but that's what you get when you're in the beginning stages of a new routine.

Why would Dennis need a T-shirt when he's already got the tattoo?

I thought Dennis was my fan boy?

He's stalking other performers now?

I feel betrayed...

Good point.

We should allocate fanboys equitably.
