I second the THANKS to Walt and the others who made the weekend possible.
I Freely admit that I still am in awe of the great minds who came and shared of themselves for the weekend.
My experience of magical gatherings has usually been one of large groups of roving card workers-justifying my purchase of the T-Shirt years ago of "Please, do not show me another card trick!"
While there were cards used in some of the discussions, and effects shown, they were actually a refreshing and welcome change from the insidious "Pick a Card" demonstrators of digital dexterity. <maybe my bout with Carpal Tunnel had made me jealous, maybe not!>
Perhaps it is the smaller groupings, maybe it is just that for the people who look a bit deeper into why they do magic, and who they do magic for <not to> makes a difference. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.
Finally, while I realize that some of the women there were in the supportive/shopping/lets take a trip- role for their partners, it was still nice to meet the other women involved in the genre'. I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves, as I know that Tory and I both did!
Thanks again for all the work everyone did!
